Waste to Wonder: A unique initiative to tackle challenges of waste materials

Aiming to address environment challenges surrounding waste materials, an Enviro Ideation Hackathon is being organised to find innovative solutions.
Under this, HP State Pollution Control Board started events to engage undergraduate and onwards classes students to address the issue of waste materials.
It will provide young minds platform to brainstorm and find solutions to solid, chemical, plastic and e-waste.
“It offers a unique platform for young minds to brainstorm, collaborate, and unleash their creativity to solve most pressing environmental issues.
We believe that power of ideation and technological advancements can pave the way for sustainable future,” HPSPCB Member Secretary Anil Joshi said.
Joshi said the event will provide students opportunity to work in teams and develop ground-breaking solutions for environ preservation and conservation.
“By harnessing their collective talent and knowledge, we aim to unlock innovative ideas that have the potential to create a lasting positive impact.
The hackathon will run for a duration of three weeks, starting from registration & submission from 15 May 2023 to grand finale on 5 June.
Our field offices (Regional Offices and Labs) will guide youths in ideation process and a participation team will have a maximum of 3 members,” he added.
The winners of Enviro Ideation Hackathon will be given cash prizes for developing solutions to pressing environmental issues.
