“I want to inculcate right values among youth,” said Sudha Murty, wife of Infosys founder Narayan Murty and a noted social worker, author and philanthropist.

Talking during interactive session at Panjab University, Sudha Murty said inculcating right values is the need of hour as times have changed now.

Answering a query, Murty, in lighter vein, said she wanted to debunk the theory that a trained scientist can’t become a writer, hence she joined the writing profession.

While the real reason behind her writings was to put her experiences that she had gained during the course of time with her experiences with people from different walks of life in book form.

“As a writer, it’s not the language per se but the story that captivates the readers,” Sudha Murty said.

She said the mantra for attaining happiness and perfection should be to accept the harsh realities and imperfections and giving importance to compassion over worldly things.

She emphasized on maintaining honesty, patience, hard work and sincere values and urged students to work hard despite adversities.

She also urged to do things in life as one like to do and help others which is important to maintain balance in life in modern world where technologies are dictating human actions.
