The Viral Today section’s video has come straight from Louisville Zoo in Kentucky, US where an orangutan’s gesture to get a close look at a newborn baby is melting netizens’ hearts.
In the video shared on Twitter by Australian Broadcasting Service, an orangutan seemed to be fascinated by a 3-month-old baby boy brought to Louisville Zoo by his mother, Kayla Jaylen Natsis.
The orangutan even knocked at the glass of his enclosure, gesturing to the baby boy’s mom to bring him closure to her.
“Oh, she wants to see the baby,” quipped one of the visitors in the background as the orangutan became successful in attracting the attention of everyone present there.
As Kayla Jaylen Natsis brought the baby close to the enclosure glass, the orangutan kissed the glass in an attempt to kiss the boy, thereby showcasing that nature has inculcated same motherly feeling in all species.
“We brought the boy near to enclosure so she could see him and she kissed the glass two times (in an attempt to kiss the baby),” Natsis was quoted as saying by ABC7 Eyewitness News.
