As Pakistan is struggling to recover from recent heavy floods and the world energy crisis, the US has announced its support to the country in ensuring a sustainable energy future.
The agenda will be discussed during the visit of the Department of State’s Bureau of Energy Resources Assistant Secretary Geoffrey R Pyatt to Lahore and Islamabad on 14-15 March.
“Pyatt will stress the US commitment to ensuring Pakistan’s sustainable energy future by promoting cooperation on regional energy security and the clean energy transition through the Green Alliance.
In Lahore, he will visit the Lahore University of Management Sciences Electric Vehicle Labs to highlight technological advances made through the US-Pakistan cooperation.
In Islamabad, he will lead the delegation for the US-Pakistan Energy Security Dialogue. Pyatt will also meet with officials from the Pakistan government and participate in a roundtable with women leaders in energy,” a Department of State spokesperson said.
