If all goes well, then the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) will soon have Maharashtra Bhawan in Ayodhya in the name of firebrand Hindu leader Balasaheb Thackeray.

This was informed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during his visit to the state where Ram Mandir is being constructed at the disputed Babri Masjid site after Supreme Court ruled in the favour of Hindu petitioners.

Talking to media, Shinde told new agency, ANI that he was not on a political visit to Ayodhya but to meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

“During the meeting, I raised the issue of Maharashtra Bhawan and demanded land for its construction, to which the UP CM agreed.

Now, UP will soon have Balasaheb Thackeray Maharshtra Bhawan which the government will construct,” he added.
