UK moves new amendments to Illegal Migration Bill

The UK government on Friday moved amendments to the Illegal Migration Bill to better stop immigration via the English channel in small boats before it is returned to the Parliament.
The people who will arrive in the UK via the English Channel will be deported speedily if they have no right to be here while the unaccompanied kids will get enhanced safeguards.
The Bill also aims to consult local authorities to assess their capacity to support legally migrated people, publish reports on existing and any proposed safe routes.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak led government aims to curb illegal immigration strictly while helping legally migrated people rebuild their lives and protecting borders in a better way.
As the government wants to speed up the process of deportation, the government has snatched local courts’ rights to stop the process unless they are at irreversible harm.
The immigration officers will now have the rights to seize mobiles and such electronic devices and better handle adults that are pretending to be adults.
Commenting on the developments, UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman said, “The British public are rightly fed up with people coming to the UK through dangerous small boat crossings. Myself and the PM are absolutely committed to stopping the boats once and for all.
The changes I am announcing today will help secure our borders and make it easier for us to remove people by preventing them from making last minute, bogus claims, while ensuring we strengthen our safe and legal routes.”
