UK launches one-stop-shop online portal for immigration enquiries, complaints

London

The United Kingdom (UK) on Friday launched a one-stop-shop online portal to facilitate immigration enquiries and complaints to its Office of Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC).

A government official said ‘new customer-facing online portal will make submission of complaints and concerns about immigration from OISC much easier’.

The one-stop-shop online portal will also make it easier to contact the OISC about a range of topics.

For this, anyone seeking a UK visa or refuge in the country can submit it by simply clicking on the enquiry or complaint button.

Such persons can also use the bar at the top of the portal home page to make their choice, he added.

The new system will guide a person through a simple process to let one ask questions, check advisor details or report about regulated immigration advice about getting UK visa.

In addition to this, UK visa seekers will also make one understand the process of handling complaints by OISC.

“Once you have submitted, you will be issued an individual case number, linked to the complaint or enquiry,” he added.

In the coming days, the online portal will hold an electronic knowledge base on dealing with any complaint or what permission and consent OISC requires for granting a visa.

Besides, providing relevant information about a particular concern or question, the automatic and responsive knowledge base will increase with OISC receiving queries and concerns.

“Over the coming months, we’ll be adding more features to the portal, to make it a truly one-stop-shop for you,” a spokesperson of OISC said in a statement.
