UK govt names new Cabinet office non-executive board members

The British government has named new members for the Cabinet office non-executive board with Lord Hogan-Howe and Henry De Zoete getting a second term.



An announcement in this regard was made by UK Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden and the members will have a term of three years.

Oliver Dowden said Janette Beinart, Marcus Boyle, Stephen Gordon-Dando and Jenni Myles are new Cabinet office non-executive board members.

The UK government has named Lord Hogan-Howe of Sheffield and Henry de Zoete for a second term on the board.

Commenting on the appointments, Dowden said the new members will introduce experience and expertise to the existing expert body of the board.

The members ‘will play a crucial role in ensuring the Cabinet Office is well placed to deliver the government’s agenda.’

“I look forward to working closely with them,” he added.

It is worth noting the new Cabinet office non-executive board members are appointed for a term of three years to provide government advice, support and scrutiny.

They will work with officials and ministers to suggest corrective measures or reforms needed to improve functioning and benefit the masses.



With the current appointments, the government is eyeing digital transformation, strategic HR and government efficiency.

The new members will now work with existing members as Anand Aithal, Michael Ashley, Michael Jary, Henry de Zoete and Lord Hogan-Howe.
