A Tewksbury man was on Friday arrested for allegedly crashing a vehicle under the influence of alcohol on 417 North Street in England.

Tewkesbury police chief Ryan Columbus said the man identified as Joshua Christian allegedly crashed his vehicle at 1 am on Friday into a telephone pole.

The accused allegedly crashed the vehicle on North Street in the Tewksbury district after which cops were informed about the incident.

“Upon arrival, officers saw a telephone pole that was broken and hanging over the northbound travel lane on North Street.

A red pickup truck on the side of the road with the airbags deployed.

The man was safely removed from the car and he hadn’t suffered any injuries in the accident,” Columbus added.

The accused will be produced in Lowell District Court and he is expected to be arraigned in the court.
