Tamilnadu: 8 killed, 20 injured as tourist train coach catches fire at Madurai Railway Station

Chennai

Eight passengers were killed while 20 others suffered injuries after a tourist train coach caught fire early in Saturday morning at Madurai Railway Station in Tamilnadu.

As per reports, the tourist train was stationed in Body Lane when it suddenly caught fire in the wee hours of Saturday.

The fire which reportedly break out in a coach, resulted in the death of eight passengers and twenty others have reportedly suffered burn injuries.

As per new agency, PTI, the fire allegedly broke out to a gas cylinder that was being carried by some passengers and it soon engulfed the entire.

The fire services were pressed into action and it had been reportedly brought under control after some time.

Further investigations to find out exact cause behind the accident is on.
