Student stages kidnapping drama to buy iPhone from ransom

A 9th class student from Sitapur in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh allegedly staged abduction drama to buy iPhone from ransom money.

As per reports, the student allegedly staged the drama after his father, a small garment shop owner, refused to buy iPhone for him.

Police said the minor staged the drama along with his friend and were planning on buying the iPhone after collecting money from his father.

Things, however, fell apart as police traced his location to his friend’s house, foiling their entire plan.

A case has been registered and further investigations in the matter are on.
