Robotic labs to help Punjab students enhance creative thinking

In order to enhance the creative thinking and problem-solving abilities of students, the Punjab government equipped all Senior Secondary Schools in Sunam with Robotic labs.

A first-of-its-kind and historic decision was announced on Saturday by Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training Minister Aman Arora.

Aman Arora inaugurated a Robotic Lab at Shaheed Udham Singh Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) at Sunam and distributed equipment to other 17 schools.

Besides, a German company, Myracle’s XR reality labs are also being set up in three schools.

“These futuristic Robotic Labs and XR Reality Labs will help pupils to get hands-on training in the latest technology areas.

These include robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3D Printing, Basics of Electronics, and so on,” Arora said.

He added the project will facilitate innovative ways to increase the knowledge skills of students through fun learning.

“Sunam probably is the first Assembly Constituency in the country to equip all the Government Senior Secondary Schools with these hi-tech and futuristic labs.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government is committed to revolutionizing the education sector in the state.

Earlier, the government had established ‘Schools of Eminence’ (SoE) by upgrading 117 GSSS and got principals trained in Singapore to sharpen their professional teaching skills,” he added.
