Underlining that the government alone can’t achieve economic growth, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak launched Business Connect to unlock innovation and drive growth.
The Business Connect event will be attended by top industry leaders, investors and government ministers for deliberations on key sectors.
Sunak’s event came after the UK provided 11,000 jobs due to inward investments since October 2022 which are being seen as confidence measures for the economy.
RIshi Sunal’s Business Connect program is aimed at pursuing pro-growth and pro-enterprise government agenda to optimise conditions for economic growth.
Around 200 CEOs and c-suite leaders of the UK will represent key industrial sectors including tech, life sciences and advanced manufacturing.
PM Rishi Sunak underlined commitment to provide conditions for optimum businesses growth and said, ‘1,800 jobs per month were created since last October.
“I am working every day on our five priorities – to halve inflation, grow the economy, reduce debt, cut waiting lists and stop the boats.
“Since taking office, I’ve spoken to over 1000 business people, because they are the innovators and change-makers at the heart of our economy, supporting jobs, attracting investment and driving growth.
The UK can be proud of its business credentials. Through the creation of 162 tech unicorns, smarter regulation and world-leading universities, we’ve got the right ingredients to double down on growing the economy,” he added.
