In what seems to be real hunger games, a man in the Indian state of Tamilnadu allegedly made threatening calls of bomb blasts in Chennai, just to avoid starvation as in jail he would atleast have access to regular meals.

The Chennai police control room received a call threatening about bomb blasts at prominent railway stations and bus stands.

This sent the entire administration into tizzy with sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads carrying out search operation in the city.

After the Tamilnadu cops couldn’t find any suspicious objects, they started to look for the culprit after terming the calls as a hoax.

After an hours-long search operation, the cops got hold of Santhosh Kumar, a native of Coimbatore who admitted to his crime.

During interrogation, Kumar told the cops that he made the calls to get arrested and atleast have regular meals in prison as he wasn’t able to make both ends meet.
