Rattan Singh Jaggi conferred with Gyan Ratna award at PU Convocation

Noted Academician, Sikh scholar and Padma Shri Dr Rattan Singh Jaggi was on Saturday conferred with Gyan Ratna award at Panjab University’s 70th Convocation.
Rattan Singh Jaggi was conferred with the award by the Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar in recognition to his enormous contribution in the field of education and literature.
Dr Jaggi, a nonagenarian is an eminent scholar of Hindi and Punjabi with Gurmat and Bhakti Movement Literature being his forte.
It is to be noted that Dr Jaggi has penned 144 books on varied subjects viz. Sikh scriptures, medieval period literature, Sikh philosophy besides Encyclopedia of Sikh religious concepts and terminology.
