Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrests former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon

Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Tuesday arrested former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon for amassing huge wealth than his known sources of income.
A Punjab government spokesperson said a corruption case has been registered against the MLA along with co-accused Gursewak Singh and Rajwinder Singh after a vigilance enquiry.
To assess his all moveable and immovable assets a check period has been fixed for five years from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2022.
“During investigation, it was revealed that Dillon had created wealth more than all his income and purchased properties in others names Mumara village of Faridkot.
It was also found that he had made expenditures of about 245 percent than his known sources of income,” he added.
After the investigation, a case under section 13(1), 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act and 120-B of IPC has been registered against the accused at Ferozepur range VB police station.
Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon has been arrested in the case and will be produced in the court tomorrow. Further investigation in this case is on, he added.
