Punjab to tie up with Google for scientific updation of police force: Bhagwant Mann

Punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday said the government will soon tie up with Google for scientific updation of police to tackle future challenges.
Commenting on the development, Bhagwant Mann said Punjab will be soon joining hands with Google to update the state Police on scientific lines.
“A comprehensive blueprint has been already prepared in this regard and the formal agreement will be signed soon.
The collaboration will help in enhancing the efficiency of the Punjab Police to tackle any sort of unforeseen challenge in the state,” Mann added.
He reiterated that honesty and transparency is the sole benchmark of the state government and said so far, 29,237 youth has been given jobs completely on the basis of merit.
He also handed over appointment letters to 144 youth in various cadres of Bureau of Investigation in Punjab Police and congratulated them for becoming an integral part of the government.
“The newly recruited hi-tech youth will act behind the curtains to nail the culprits who had committed crime.
It will also help in enhancing the efficiency of the Punjab Police manifolds along with updating and modernizing it,” he added.
Mann said Punjab Police has already undertaken several operations in the last one year which are being hailed across the country.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said this was a path breaking initiative aimed at strengthening the scientific investigation in Punjab Police.
