Punjab to introduce AI for need based construction of rural roads

Eyeing judicious use of funds for development projects, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday announced to introduce AI for need-based construction of rural roads.
He approved the introduction of AI during Punjab Mandi Board meeting and said the decision will pave the way for the judicious use of public money while ensuring quality construction of rural roads.
The AI will also ensure path-breaking construction work on roads and will ensure the saving of state exchequer funds, he added.

Mann said a major facelift of rural roads by way of widening strengthening and upgradation will be done in the coming days.
He called for investing every single penny in development projects in a judicious manner and stated that there was a need for the facelift of rural roads to facilitate the rural population.
