Punjab: Tarntaran father arrested for raping disabled minor daughter

In a shocking incident, a Tarntaran father has been arrested by Punjab police for allegedly raping his mentally disabled minor daughter.

As per reports, the incident occurred when the mentally disabled girl was alone at their home in Tarntaran district of Punjab on Sunday.

The accused allegedly took the benefit of being alone with the mentally disabled 17-year-old and started molesting her.

As the girl was being sexually assaulted by her own father, the minor victim started crying and calling for help which led to their neighbours suspecting foul in the house.

When the neighbours reached the house, they found the Tarntaran father in compromising condition with the minor girl.

The neighbors caught hold of the accused and called the police, who arrested the accused.

A police official said the accused has been arrested for sexually assaulting his mentally instable daughter and a case under IPC and POCSO Act has been registered against him.

Meanwhile, the girl has been sent for medical examination and the cops are awaiting medical reports to proceed accordingly in the case.
