Punjab Sports Min lauds Indian team for Jr Hockey Asia Cup win by beating Pak

Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer on Friday lauded the Indian team for winning Junior Hockey Asia Cup by defeating Pakistan in the finals.
The Junior Hockey Asia Cup was held at Salah in Oman where the Indian team won the title for a record fourth time by beating Pakistan 2-1.
With Salah’s win, India became the only country to lift the title four times in 2023, 2015, 2008, and 2004.

In his congratulatory message, Meet Hayer said Indian players have made the country proud by displaying excellent play in the Hockey tourney.
“The victory of the Indian team in the Hockey tourney shows that the future of India in Hockey is in safe hands.
It is a victory of the team’s joint efforts and every player showed better performance,” he said, Indian team’s performance was outstanding in the tourney.

Meet Hayer also extended his warm wishes to the Indian team for the upcoming Junior World Cup that will be hosted at Kuala Lumpur in December this year.
