The ‘Schools of Eminence’ set up in Punjab will act as the harbingers of change in the education sector and ensure students’ bright future, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Wednesday.
Mann made these remarks while interacting with Class 9th students that are studying at Punjab Schools of Eminence.
“These schools are a new experiment in the state aimed at ensuring the holistic development of the students.
This is a step forward towards providing a good learning experience for the students to excel in various fields as these are equipped with ultra-modern infrastructure,” he added.
Asserting that the AAP government is working to strengthen the education sector, the CM said 117 such schools have been established in 23 districts to provide quality education to students.
These schools are focusing on grooming the students for five professional and competitive courses including engineering, law, commerce, UPSC and NDA, Mann said.
Reiterating that these will set new benchmarks in quality education and usher a new era of teaching students, Mann said the government will felicitate the best-performing schools.
He exhorted the students to work hard for carving a niche in various fields in the international arena.
He also took feedback from students on quality education and urged them to utilize summer holidays for updating themselves on new developments.
