Punjab Municipal Council elections to be held from 1-15 Nov for which a notification has been issued

Punjab Municipal Council elections will be held for 41 civic bodies from 1-15 November 2023.

As per reports, Punjab State Election Commission has issued a notification regarding elections to Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats in the state.

In a notification issued by Local Government Department, the elections to elect members of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats will be held in November.

The Municipal Councils which will go into polls are Goraya, Bhogpur, Bilga, Shahkot, Kapurthala, Bagowal, Bhultha, Dhillawan, Nadala, Mullanpur Dakha, Sahnewal, Machiwara, Malot in Ludhiana. 

While by-elections for vacant posts in Bathinda, Amritsar, Tarantaran, Gurdaspur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Patiala, Sangrur, Malerkotla, SAS Nagar and Patiala will also be held.
