Punjab: Mohali woman duped in the name of work visa

Adding to the list of frauds in the name of providing a study visa or work visa, a woman residing in Mohali Aero City was duped of Rs 8.50 lakh.

As per reports, the victim identified as Manisha filed a complaint with Mohali police that she was duped of Rs 8.50 lakh by her neighbour in the name of work visa.

“Manisha, a native of Nangal in Punjab, used to reside in a flat on rent in Aero City in Sector 66 of Mohali.

She had given Rs 8.50 lakh for providing her work visa but she wasn’t provided with one nor the money was returned.

She filed a complaint against her neighbour after her neighbour didn’t respond to her requests,” Harnek Singh, investigating official in the case told the media.
