Punjab Min directs to adopt AI system to resolve people’s grievances

Punjab Governance Reforms and Removal of Grievances Minister Aman Arora on Wednesday called to adopt an AI system to resolve people’s grievances as part of its efforts to enhance redressal system.
Arora said an AI-based system can ensure effective monitoring and prompt resolution of grievances received through the PGRS portal to reduce human intervention, save time and enhance transparency.
Arora gave these directions during a review meeting and stressed the importance of regular monitoring of pending complaints at the state and district levels.

He also directed the Governance Reforms and Public Grievances Principal Secretary Tejveer Singh to convene a meeting with departments that have the highest pending complaints.
He also stressed the need to establish clear timelines for resolving all pending grievances and said Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led is committed to a comprehensive system overhaul to ensure that people can access services without any difficulties.
Reiterating that lapses would not be tolerated in service delivery, Arora also reviewed pending complaints that were received on PGRS portal.
