Punjab govt starts WhatsApp number to resolve Punjabi NRIs complaints

Punjab government has launched WhatsApp number 93093-88088 for Punjabi NRIs to register their complaints and get time-bound resolution, State NRI Affairs minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said.

Dhaliwal paid a visit to control room for Punjabis residing in abroad and assured them about the commitment of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led government to resolve their complaints at the earliest, except sub-judice matters.

“Punjabi diaspora can register their complaints and grievances on WhatsApp number 93093-88088 without any hesitation. The registered complaints would be forwarded to the concerned department or officer for follow-up and timely redressal,” Dhaliwal said.

Dhaliwal called a number of complainants to check their response for issues raised during NRI Sammelan or registered with the control room.

Dhaliwal also appealed to the overseas Punjabis to invest in Punjab while adding that Punjabis who have achieved success in foreign countries should also contribute for the progress of their state. He assured them of all possible help in every way.

‘The complainants thanked the NRI Affairs Minister for showing personal interest in resolving their issues besides applauding Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government for taking such pro-people initiatives’, a state government official said.

J Balamurgan, Principal Secretary, NRI affairs department and Praveen Kumar Sinha ADGP, NRI Affairs, were also present on this occasion.
