Punjab Excise deptt raids Amritsar Club House for selling liquor at sky-high rates

Punjab Excise department on Monday raided an Amritsar Club House for selling liquor at sky-high rates and sale of prohibited alcohol brands.

As per reports, some youths were celebrating at the Amritsar Club house and alcohol was served to them at exorbitant rates.

Besides, the pricey alcohol brands that were sold to them were prohibited in the state and are banned as per the Punjab Excise Policy.

The youths came to know about the actual rates later after which they filed a case with the Excise department.

And on Monday, the sleuths of Excise department raided the Amritsar Club House as sale of prohibited liquor brands is causing revenue loss to the state.
