PSEB Class 12th result toppers to get Rs 51k cash prize, announces Bhagwant Mann

As PSEB Class 12th results and its toppers were revealed on Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced a cash prize of Rs 51,000 to Sujan Kaur, Shreya Singla and Navpreet Kaur for bagging 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
It is worth noting that girls outshone boys by bagging 9 out of all 10 top ranks with Sujan Kaur, Shreya Singla and Navpreet Kaur securing top 3 ranks by scoring 100, 99.60 and 99.40 percentile respectively.
Navneet Singh, Khushpreet Kaur, Arshpreet Kaur, Simranjit Kaur, Khushi Garg, Ashmeen Kaur and Shamanpreet Kaur won 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th rank respectively.
Bhagwant Mann too recognised the fact and said “Girls have once again outnumbered the boys by securing top positions in the exam.
It is equally heartening to learn that Mansa district has secured first position across the state in the result of these exams,” he said while expending best wishes for their future.

A total of 2,96,709 students have appeared in the exams of which 2,74,378 (92.47%) were declared successful with girls securing 95.14% pass percentage while boys pass percentage stood at 90.25%.
