Online portal launched to register 2nd edition of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan

An online portal was on Tuesday launched for sportspersons to register for the second edition of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Aspiring players who want to participate in the games that will commence on 29 August can register at www.khedanwatanpunjabdia.com.
CM Mann said the first edition of the games organized last year had received an overwhelming response from the people.
“It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that more than 3 lakh players have participated in six age groups in 2022.
These players have participated in various competitions from block to the state level in 30 sports categories,” he added.
Mann urged the sportspersons to come forward and register for the 2nd edition of the games on the online portal.
This year five new games have been added which include Cycling, Equestrian, Rugby, Wushu and Volleyball.
“The AAP government is making efforts to promote sports in Punjab to channel youth’s energy in a positive manner.
The games are the right step in this direction as they provide a platform to players to showcase their talent.
Besides, these also help in identifying players’ strengths and weaknesses, and groom them for national and international events,” he added.
