Now Punjab govt employees can apply for general transfers till 15 June

Now Punjab government employees can apply for general transfers and postings till 15 June as Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led government on Wednesday extended the deadline.

A government spokesperson said a notification regarding the extension of the deadline for general transfers and postings of Punjab employees has been issued today.

The notification extending the deadline to 15 June 2023 has been issued by the Punjab Personnel Department.

“The period for general transfers of employees and officers serving in various departments and institutions of the state was from 10 April to 31 May 2023.

But now this deadline has been further extended till June 15, 2023,” he added.

He further stated that after 15 June, the government will impose a complete ban on general transfers and after that, the government will only make transfers for promotions or on complaints.
