Ne Zha 2 dethrones Disney’s Inside Out 2 to become highest-grossing animated film

Chinese animated film, Ne Zha 2 has become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time by dethroning Disney’s Inside Out 2.

As per reports, Ne Zha 2 has earned 1.72 billion US dollars (12.319 billion Yuan) in worldwide collections til Tuesday evening.

The data of the Chinese ticketing platform, Maoyan has confirmed the earnings of the blockbuster animated movie, Xinhua news agency reported on Tuesday.

The Chinese animated movie has achieved the milestone in just 20 days after its release on Chinese New Year on 29 January.

The movie is now also featured in the list of top ten 10 movies of all-time at the global box office.

Ne Zha is based on a Chinese mythological character who was training to become a demon hunter. However, he transforms into its demonic form after he discovers that he is destined to destroy the world.
