Mohali school principal arrested for securing job on fake degree

Paramjit Kaur, a school principal at GSSS in Mohali Phase 11, has been arrested for allegedly submitting a fake degree of M.Com for securing the job.
The Mohali school principal Kaur was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on Monday after it was found that she had got secured the job and promotion on the basis of a fake degree.
A Punjab Vigilance Bureau spokesperson said at the time of appointment, Paramjit Kaur had produced an M.Com degree that was issued by Magadh University.
However, when the Education department checked it with Magadh University in Gaya in Bihar, it was not verified by the authorities.
This led to officials forwarding the case to the Vigilance department for further investigations.
“After investigations, it was found that the degree was fake and a case was registered against Kaur for submitting a fake degree to secure a job and promotion.
The Mohali school principal was subsequently arrested for the crime,” the spokesperson added.
