Madhya Pradesh: 22 killed after bus falls into river in Khargone district

Twenty two persons died while 23 others are suffered injuries after the bus in which they were travelling in fell into a river in Khargone district of India’s Madhya Pradesh state.
As per reports, the incident took place in the morning when the bus which was on its way to Indore fell from Dasanga bridge into a river.
Fifteen persons have reportedly died on the spot while 30 other passengers who were travelling in the bus have suffered injuries in the accident.
After hearing the commotion, the locals rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers stuck in the bus.
The district administration has rushed teams to the spot and rushed injured to nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan led MP government announced financial aid of Rs 4 lakh to deceased’s family members.
A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
An amount of Rs 50,000 will be granted to seriously injured passengers and persons with minor injuries will get an aid of Rs 25,000.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi too has condoled the loss of lives in Khargone bus accident and announced Rs 2 lakh aid to deceased’s kin and Rs 50,000 to injured.
