Kejriwal asserts commitment to revamp 1,800 MCD schools
New Delhi
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday asserted the AAP government’s commitment to revamp all 1,800 MCD schools with modern amenities.
He made these remarks after inaugurating the new school building of Govt Senior Secondary School in Uttam Nagar which was running in tin shed since 1985.
Reiterating that he will ensure unhampered work in the education sector, Kejriwal said the new building of the school surpasses the standards set by any private school.
BJP and Congress ruled the national capital for 37 years but transforming the education sector was never their priority, however, AAP is committed to providing quality education to all children.
The CM also reiterated his commitment to replicate the Delhi government’s education model in all 1800 MCD schools and said all government schools have been transformed into the best institutions, education quality as well as infrastructure wise.

The CM said, “In addition to the infra improvements, the AAP government has implemented innovative programs to empower students and make them self-reliant.
The Business Blasters Entrepreneurship Program, launched in government schools, aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for employment and entrepreneurship,” he added.
Kejriwal emphasized the impact of such initiatives on students and stated that if children learn to do business from their school-college itself, then their family members and neighbours can also find easy employment.
