India’s largest aquarium, aviary to come up at Kothwalguda Eco Park

India’s largest aquarium and aviary with board walks is being constructed at Kothwalguda Eco Park in Rangareddy district of Telangana state.

While responding to a Twitter query, Telangana Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said on Monday, “We are building India’s largest aquarium and aviary at Kothwalguda. Work is in progress.”

The user, Prem has asked the Minister, “KTR Garu why don’t our Hyderabad have tunnel aquarium. Won’t it be possible under any hyd wonderful lakes? Please gift Telangana a wonderful tunnel Aquarium. Sir Please think on it.”

The Telangana minister has laid the foundation of Kothwalguda Eco Park foundation on 11 October 2022 and work on its construction is under progress.

The park is being built on 105 acre area and it will have luxury resorts, restaurants, butterfly and aqua marine parks among other facilities.

At present, India has eight aquariums which includes Taraporewala Aquarium Mumbai, Under The Sun Aquarium Udairpur and Govt Aquarium Bengaluru, among others.
