“PM Modi has decided to reduce domestic LPG gas cylinder prices for all consumers on the occasion of Onam and Raksha Bandhan,” Thakur said in a media brief.
Thakur said when the BJP-led NDA government came into power in 2014, only 14 crore residents of the country had gas connections.
The number had gone up to 33 crore, out of which 9.60 crore domestic LPG gas connections were provided under the Ujjwala Scheme.
These gas connections were provided free of cost to the women and they already were being given a subsidy of Rs 200 under the scheme.
“All consumers will benefit from the reduction in LPG gas cylinder prices and it is a big gift of PM Modi’s government to all the sisters of the country.
