India First: UP Min lashes at opposition leaders for soiling country’s image abroad
Lucknow
UP Urban Development Minister A K Sharma on Sunday lashed at opposition leaders for soiling India’s image in foreign countries and, said all this is being done to score brownie points over Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a rally at Lakhimpur Khiri, Sharma said such leaders have done more harm than the neighbouring enemy countries.
“They have soiled India’s image and dignity while putting the country’s economy and security at stake for their vested interests,” Sharma added.

The UP Minister said after coming into power in 2014, the country’s image and prestige had increased at the global level as no scams had occurred in the 9-year rule of PM Modi-led government.
Now, beneficiaries of various government schemes are getting direct benefits in bank accounts while youth are being facilitated with Mudra loans to start new ventures.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has now become the fifth-largest economy in the world, the Minister said.
Sharma stated that earlier, only selected villages of Uttar Pradesh used to get electricity supply but now all areas are getting power in the same measure as in the urban areas.
