Hyderabad, the erstwhile estate of Nizams, is looking surreal after restoration work as it vies for World Heritage City status.
The picture of the renovated city townscape was shared by Telangana Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao and the pictures just seem out of some Bollywood or Hollywood flick.
Sharing the pictures, KTR tweeted, “On this World Heritage Day, let me highlight some of the beautiful restoration work done by the Municipal Administration Dept in the last few years.
Our aim is to get World Heritage City status to Hyderabad city.”
As part of restoration work, six historic baolis or stepwells in Quli Qutb Shah Tombs Garden has been beautified as part of Hyderabad’s bid for World Heritage City status.
The Tombs Garden as per experts, is unique and incomparable to any site in the world and it spread over in 106 acre area.
The structures are being restored to pristine beauty by Agha Khan Trust in association with State Culture Department.
The World Heritage Site tag is granted by UNESCO to a landmark or area for having cultural, scientific or historic or other significance to the mankind.
