Honing Skills: 34 Punjab’s budding players get trained at Jwala Gutta Academy

Eyeing better medal tallies and further hone skills, 34 budding players from Punjab on Wednesday returned after getting trained at Jwala Gutta Badminton Academy.
These youngsters now exude excitement and enthusiasm after one month-long training at Jwala Gutta Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.
Pullela Gopichand, Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu, Jwala Gutta and Lakshe Sen are the ideals of these players and they want to excel like them in Badminton.
The trained youth include Yuvan Bansal (8), Kamil Sabharwal (10), Shivan Dhingra (13) and Arushi Mehta (14) and they aspire to reach the top in the Badminton field.
These players, upon their return to Chandigarh, met Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer.
Meet Hayer said they will fulfill Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s dream of making Punjab the number one state in sports in the country with their diligence and hard work.
It is worth noting that the Punjab Sports department had sent 34 players on all-expense paid training to further hone their skills from Dronacharya awardee and former Indian badminton coach SM Arif.
The players also shared their experiences with Meet Hayer as new stretching technique.
Meet Hayer assured them of all possible efforts to bring the sportsmen onto the international stage.
