Haryana notifies policy to grant jobs on compassionate grounds to kin of Army, CAPF personnel

Haryana government on Monday notified a new policy to grant jobs on compassionate grounds to dependents of Indian Army and Central Armed Police Forces personnel (CAPF).

A notification in this regard was issued by the Haryana government’s Human Resources Department.
It has been titled Compassionate Appointment (for the family member of the Armed Forces and
CAPF Battle Casualty) Policy, 2023.
A government official said the policy aims to assist the family in case of battle casualty of Armed Forces and CAPF.
The kin of those personnel, who were domicile of Haryana and killed in battle casualty, are eligible for jobs on compassionate grounds.
The battle casualty norm will be applicable in case a personnel is killed in action in border skirmishes, terrorist attacks or riots.
This will be in addition to other benefits granted to the family from the parent department of the Indian government.
The jobs on compassionate grounds will be provided to one member of such personnel in any government department, board or corporation.

For this, the son or daughter in the age of 18-25 years can apply to seek job on compassionate grounds within 3 years of such casualty.
They can file an application for the same with the District Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Officer.
