Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Balkar Singh sworn in as new Punjab Cabinet Ministers

Gurmeet Singh Khudian and Balkar Singh were on Wednesday sworn in as the new Cabinet ministers in Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government.

Khudian and Singh were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit at Punjab Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh.

The proceedings of the swearing-in ceremony were conducted by Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua and they signed the oath of office which was countersigned by Purohit.

A Punjab government spokesperson said with the appointment of Khudian and Singh, the number of Cabinet ministers has increased to 16 which also includes CM Bhagwant Mann.

CM Bhagwant Mann congratulated the newly appointed Cabinet ministers said, “They have already been serving the masses with missionary zeal.”

He hoped that ‘the new ministers will continue to serve the people with the same passion and fervor’.
