Chandigarh
Haryana cops on Monday claimed to have busted a fake govt recruitment scam and have arrested five members of an interstate gang.
A Haryana Police official said the interstate criminals have been identified as Deepak Rathi, Vishnu Chauhan, Rahul, Vimal Kumar and Mohd Shoaib.
The accused are the residents of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, and they were arrested after three Bhiwani youths filed a complaint about getting duped of Rs 5.50 lakh each for securing a job in FCI.
The cops have also recovered Rs 4 lakh cash along with mobile phones, computers and pen drives, containing incriminating evidence involving their crimes.

In their complaint, the youth alleged that they had applied for the position of godown attendant in the FCI and were deceived into providing a security deposit to get the job.
The accused allegedly coerced them to deposit Rs 5.5 lakh each, amounting to Rs 16.50 lakh but they didn’t get the promised jobs.
“The racket targeted job seekers across multiple states, promising them positions in various government departments such as the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Army, ITBP, BSF, PWD among others,” the official added.
The gang had allegedly duped people with such job offers in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab.
“Be cautious and avoid paying anyone for job opportunities, focus on honest preparation,” advised Haryana Crime Branch ADGP OP Singh while emphasizing the importance of hard work.
