Zephalto, a French firm, is offering the edge of the world experience in a low-carbon space journey in a stratospheric balloon by 2024.
A visual treat of ‘Mother Earth’ for adventure junkies, Zephalto is offering travel in luxurious 20 sq mts spaceship with six passengers in each flight.
The stratospheric balloon has been designed on French Space agency’s 60 years experience by top engineers in association with worldwide experts.
Zephalto termed the space travel as the most groundbreaking adventure in sync with nature as it will only generate 26.6 kg CO2 (amount required to produce a pair of jeans) in its entire journey.
The stratospheric balloons will travel 25 km above earth (98 percent of the atmosphere) and to the edge of dark space within 6 hours.
It will take one half a half hour to reach an altitude of 25 km while travelling at a speed of 4 mts per second. The spaceship will remain in the stratosphere for three hours to provide travellers an overview of earth and space, making it a life-changing experience.
The trip will cost 132,000 US dollars per person and as per its founder Vincent Farret d’Asties, the firm is planning 60 flights in a year with the best bits of French food, wine and design.
“Travelling towards the stars, without polluting, in harmony with elements,” the French firm aptly states in its Genesis statement.
