Decarbonizing air travel: US, UK to work on sustainable aviation fuels

The US and UK will share expertise and collaborate on developing sustainable aviation fuels decarbonize air travel to let you enjoy guilt free air travel.

The discussions on decarbonizing air travel will held in US on Monday during Sustainable Aviation Fuels Investment Summit.

Apart from US and UK, Canada and Singapore will also be part of the summit to tackle climate challenge and reduce aviation emissions.

It is worth mentioning here that aviation emissions are the one of leading causes of global warming and climate change in the world.

UK Transport Secretary Mark Harper will hold talks with US counterpart Pete Buttihieg alongside Canadian and Singapore representatives.

Commenting on the development, Mark Harper said, “While an ocean separates us, we’ve never been more aligned with the USA on the future of aviation.

And what that entails – whether it’s boosting jobs, opening new trade opportunities or delivering guilt-free air travel.”

Harper said his visit is part of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s government commitment to reduce emissions from aviation.

Harper will co-chair the summit in Detroit along with US and Canadian counterparts.

Boeing, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), JP Morgan Chase, United Airlines, World Energy and the American Petroleum Institute representatives will also be part of the summit.
