Climate activists are facing the worst fate and consequences for protecting lives, climate activist, Greta Thunberg said after she was fined by a Swedish Court for disobeying cops.

The case pertains to the blocking of road access to Malmo oil terminal on June 19 where Thunberg along with others was protesting against fossil fuels under the Reclaim The Future movement.

Greta Thunberg admitted to the charge but denied any guilt as the fight against fossil fuels was critical to reverse the effects of climate change and global warming which was an existential crisis.

She reportedly told the media that the world can’t be saved from its harmful effects by playing by the rules.

“We are here and of course, other climate and human rights activists are facing the worst consequences for their action of protecting lives.

But we must remember who the real criminals are, the ones who are committed real crimes. And that will be true even if we are jailed or climate activists in the world.

We have truth and morality on our side and that will not change,” she told reporters after she was fined 250 US dollars by the court.
