Civil, Human Rights in Iraq: UK calls for projects for real-change in Islamic country
London
The British government on Monday called for projects to bring real change in civil and human rights in Iraq for a stable and prosperous future.
A UK government official said “All project bids must aim to promote, protect, and improve human rights in Iraq.
Successful bids will be for innovative activities that will have the greatest impact and deliver real change. The total amount of funding available is 70,000 pounds and the projects should commence on 1st October 2023 and must be completed by 31 March 2024.”
The project proposals should include objectives, a detailed schedule of activities to be carried out, indicators, and expected results.
This must also include deliverables, stakeholders, the cost and the duration (start and end) of the execution of the deliverables. The successful implementer will be required to issue quarterly reports.
Activity Based Budget should include an approximate expected value of spending, with a detailed breakdown of the anticipated costs for each specific activity.
“We are less interested in proposals that focus purely on seminars, workshops or the production of research reports that end in themselves.
Instead, proposals should include action-oriented ideas which will bring about concrete outcomes,” the official added.
