Citadel web series starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci promises high-octane spy thriller fighting crime mafias to protect humanity.

The two episodes of Citadel has landed on Amazon Prime in which Priyanka Chopra Jonas thrives in spy avatar but it seems to missing the novelty factor.

Though it will be too early to comment on what conspires next and how the story progresses but it seems to a mixture of Mission Impossible, James Bond and The Bourne Identity’sh drama.

The Citadel starts with Brad Pitt’s Bullet Train movie type scene where Priyanka Chopra along with Richard Madden chases a Russian guy supposedly carrying nuclear material.

However, it turns out that Citadel, the mythical good guys spy agency, is betrayed by its own agent, leading to Manticore, crime mafias, trying to wipe it out.

This leads to Stanley Tucci, top Citadel agent, wiping out the memory of all agents and this resets the drama to eight years where Priyanka Chopra and Madden living normal life, forgetting their action filled past.

But the discovery of top secret data in CIA custody led to Tucci embarking on last mission to save the spy organisation.

But will they succeed or the story packs the punch to enchant the audiences, will only be revealed in its remaining episodes.

The Citadel is receiving mixed reviews and there seems to quite a buzz about the 300 million dollar worth web series.
