Celebrating Heritage: New Canada passport unveiled with hi-tech features

Canadian government on Wednesday unveiled a new redesigned Canada passport with state-of-the-art features to keep citizens secure.
The redesigned Canada passport was unveiled by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship minister Sean Fraser and Families, Children and Social Development minister Karina Gould.
It has been redesigned from cover to cover with new security features, artwork to ensure its status of being the most secure and universally accepted travel document remains intact.
It celebrates Canada’s heritage and identity with iconic images of natural beauty of the country with a maple leaf design on its polycarbonate cover.
The new passport will be rolled out to Canadian citizens in summers and besides, the government is working to offer more service options to citizens online.
“The new Canadian passport is more than a travel document, it is a representation of our national identity and values.
It is a reminder of the beauty and diversity of Canada, and it reflects the country’s commitment to welcoming people from all around the world,” Sean Fraser said.
It is worth mentioning here that in 2019, Canadian Bank Note Company to design, develop and deploy to introduce next-gen features in Canada’s passport.
Canada’s passport ranks fourth in the world in the Passport Index with visa-free access or visa on arrival in over 170 countries of the world.
