Bhupinder Singh takes over as Punjab DIPR Director

Bhupinder Singh, a 2012 batch IAS officer on Monday took over as the new Director of the Information and Public Relations department at the Punjab Civil Secretariat.

After taking over, Bhupinder Singh underscored the department’s significance to act as the bridge between the common man and the government.

Besides, the department ensures that the people friendly policies of the Punjab government percolate down to the grassroots level.

He also emphasized upon the importance of the social media as a tool to ensure maximum reach of government policies and programs, in keeping with the demands of the present hi-tech era.

Singh who also holds the charge of Special Secretary, Power, exhorted the officials to work in unison to leave no stone unturned in propagating pro people initiatives of the government.
